New Laptops

Dec 8, 2009 9:02AM PST

I need two laptops for Christmas gifts, under $600 each. I would love these specs below but will probably have to sacrifice some. They will have many internet tabs, AIM, Microsoft Word, and music running the same time. I would like it to play movies well and have a built in webcam.

Are these specs needed for the intended uses? Any suggestions?

Thanks

The top post has the laptop pickers to get you started.

Give this tool a try: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-laptop-scout/

Set ranges for the specs you are looking for and it gives you a list of laptops that fit your needs. From there feel free to come back and ask specific questions about specific models if you have any.
