Most gamers loathe onboard video like what's in the i5.
I didn't find a final fantasy benchmark so let's look at a Gen 5 i5 video gaming result.
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i5-5200U-Notebook-Processor.127831.0.html notes the Intel 5500. Let's look at the game results.
Even when this newer Intel graphics beats Haswell and others, you see a sea of RED results at http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-5500.125586.0.html
That's no gamer.
You'll want to find a model with GPU with dedicated DDR5 video ram. Or at least the AMD A10 like http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-15-6-Inch-Laptop-80EC000TUS-Black/dp/B00K6ZIBGY The review at http://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-IdeaPad-Z50-75-Notebook-A10-7300-Review-Update.132461.0.html pegs this as not a top end gamer but entry level IMO.
Definitely looking at over 500 bucks.
I am planning on buying a new laptop. I want it to be capable of playing final fantasy online and must have a disc drive.I am aware I will need a minimum of an i5 processor.Would an average low cost computer from Black Friday(Staple, Best Buy etc) be capable?
