New Laptop with matching docking station

When windows 7 comes available later this year I will be shopping for a new laptop with matching docking station. Right now I have two homes each with their own desktop system. I want to eliminate the desktops by having one good laptop and 2 matching docking stations. My question is which brand has the best and easiest docking system. All comments welcome.
By the way several tech people I have talked to told me to use only the docking station made by the laptop manufacturer.
