SOME of the new laptops have HDMI hookups, shop around. Sony offers it in a few models, there are others as well. Of course your TV would also have to have the input. I recently saw an ACER desktop with HDMI onboard which really surprised me since it was NOT an expensive high end tower but was still quite decent so I would assume they likely have a laptop that is HDMI capable. I am sure you won't have much trouble finding one.
I'm looking for a laptop that has a few key features for the cheapest price (less than $800).
I'll be working with large quantities of data so I want a processor with at least 2GHz and have 2 GB shared memory.
I only watch movies and use sites like hulu.com so I don't have cable TV. I want to have a laptop that can interface with my tv. The tv says that it has HDMI, S-Video (4pin), Component, Composite connections and also says it has a "PC interface VGA (HD-15)". I don't really know what any of that means but what is the best laptop outputs/cables to connect the two devices?
Thanks for your help.
