New laptop, old printer

Mar 5, 2005 11:27PM PST

Hi,

I have a new laptop, and was wondering if (and how) I would be able to connect my old printer to it. I think I have to get a special cord or something, but I don't know what it is called, or what it looks like.

Any help would be great!

Thanks.

If you are referring to the brand and make (etc) I wasn't aware that information was necessary to answer the question. If that is the case, you could have been more helpful and clear. If not, I don't know what you are reffering to. Either way I don't need to be treated in such a condescening manner and will find my information elsewhere.

I would expect more from a moderator.

Please report if the forum tip is missing.

There seems to be far too many posts occuring without what is asked in the forum tip. It makes me think that members are not seeing this passage when they make a posting.

Tip: If you are asking for help to troubleshoot a computer-related problem, please be sure to include all the necessary information (ie: operating system, model number, hardware, software, etc) that will help others identify your problem for a speedy resolution.

And your post invites others to do nothing but remind you about your omissions. Don't like that? Simply make a better post.

And I expect better from someone that is seeking help.
