There are many laptops that ship with FreeDos and do exactly that.

Expected, working as delivered. You'll have to tell more.

If You Want A Different Operating System, Install It

It looks like FreeDOS is the OS installed.. If you want something else, Windows may need to be purchased and installed, or you can use Linux, Ubuntu, etc...

you really need to provide some information. like the full model number of the laptop, what os is supposed to be on it. did you purchase it new or used

as previously mentioned, looks like the operating system is FreeDOS. If you want to install microsoft os, then you will have to purchase a copy. if you want free, then I would suggest linux mint.
