Question

New Laptop

Sep 2, 2017 11:46AM PDT

Hey so I am in the market for a new laptop. I was looking at Dell because I have heard good things. What I really want is something with an SSD and 17 inch display without a touch screen (because I have a touch screen now and I never use it, and I don't wanna pay for it). Is there another brand that is better/has what I'm looking for?

THANK YOU

You can debate this for a very long time

And models come and go. I see Dell has non-touch models so why not one of those?

Also, check the best sellers on Amazon if you can.

My only quibble is that only HP has a few 17 inch models in the top 80. Not a maker I endorse due to warranty issues.

Try this search.

What about a bespoke solution

I'm in the UK. I have used a company called PC Specialist to build laptops to my customer's specification. Assuming there are similar companies in the US (if that's where you are) - cost is usually a bit more than off the shelf but you should be able to get what you want, and PC Specialist at least has good customer support.
