Sometime in 2011

and everything you ever wanted, some things you didn't know you wanted and it will be missing some other things.

This sort of information is not something that Apple makes available, they always play their cards very close to their chest when it comes to the release dates and tech specs of new products.

Anybody that tells you that the new iPad will be released on xxxx date, is just guessing.
Anyone who tells you what the new tech specs will be, are also guessing.

Some guesses are better than others.

Bottom line, it's all a guessing game.

Me, I think April is probably a good month to see the new iPad. But what do I know?

and probably not anyone else, bar Apple themselves.

Haven't you noticed that Apple does not broadcast its plans for anything until it is ready to do so.

There is no set time for any of their events

Thank you mrmacfixit. I honestly didn't know if Apple had Keynotes on a schedule or not. I'm an Apple newbie. One more question. With Game Center, if I turn off both options as shown in this screenshot

will that make it private (So that no one can find me online)? Just asking before I consider buying. Thank you for all your help.

The new prototype displayed by Apple is a bit larger than the former but lesser in weight...It might be out in few months time

I'm sure we would be interested in seeing it.

It would be unusually for Apple to display anything that is not about to go on sale and be available right now in the Apple Store.
