That seems wrong to me. What I would enter the 192.168.1.1 as the gateway, I would also have to enter my unique IP such as 192.168.1.101 and a netmask such as 255.255.255.0 to get this to work.
DHCP would do that automagically.

I just installed Redhat 9.0 from a boxed set I purchased new a while back. it's on a P4 w/128 megs of ram and 80 Gig hd.
It installed easy and I entered my router ip (192.168.1.1) and my comcast dns entries.
How do I resolve this?
Thanks,
Tony
