Such as a business with servers, Norton and more. There is also no question in this post. That is a sentence ending with a question mark.
After a bit of back and forth what it appears the member is looking for is the protocol that a company IT staff would execute to lock down and begin the containment and removals.
CtDrvMvi.exe is just one of the file name in C:\windows\system32\ This file is requires the conime in the same folder to run and has some entries in the registries also. This infection slows down the internet browsing speed. Brings in pops like "CtDrvMvi.exe encountered a problem and needed to close". The CPU usage increase rapidly. Spreads fast in a network. The five alpghabets(CtDrvM?.exe) remain the same but the rest keeps on changing as the infection spreads.
Has anyone come across this infection. if so please let me know if there is a resolution. well there are solutions on an indonesian website http://www.corozilla.net/2010/03/19/conime-exe-dan-ctdrvmgq-exe/ but that does not help.
We have installed Vista on the infected PC's and so far so good. I wanted to bring this up so that others can be aware.
