New Home Theatre Setup almost complete

OK I justed wanted to know what you guys thought of my home entertainment setup so far. Right know I have the Samsung Pedestal HLP-5085W DLP TV. I've got a 600 watt denon AVR-651 surround sound. I've also got the High-Def DVR for TV. Have a sumsung HD upcoversion dvd player. PS2 hooked to the TV. I also currently have a sony PC hooked up as well with full internet access and wireless keyboard and mouse. I use fiber optic audio calbes from the DVD player, cable box and PS2. I've got a DVI cable used to hook up the DVD, and high end component cables for video for TV.

What do you guys think of this setup? Keep in mind I am only 22 and don't have all the money in the world to play with. I just got my first house and am almost done with my entertainment setup. The only other thing I could think to add would be an x-box.

I can try and post pictures if anyone would like.

Are you looking for a roommate? I've posted in several places regarding Samsung audio/video sync. Have you noticed any problems when playing the DVD with 5.1 or 6.1 surround? My next addition is the receiver and found some problems posted. Maybe the Denon is the way to go.

You'll enjoy the Xbox on the Samsung. Don't let them talk you into the $80 Psycho component video cables. The $20 Xbox set works just as well.

I already have 2 room mates that help pay the bills.
I have had not such problems with audio sync on the samsung but thats because I do not use the TV to run any of the audio in fact I don't even have audio run to the tv. I get such good sound out of the denon system that I just run the fiber optic cable out of the HD cable box directly into the Denon reciever and run audio through it at all times. But as fas as the audio sync goes I have heard of many people haivng that problem but I sell the samsung tv's and have many displayed with surround sounds and have never had a problem with the audio sync

As far as the component video cables go I will be getting those from monster cable if I get an x box because I get a 60% discount off retail price on monster cables so that usely persuades me to go with them.

In reply to: re

That is the setup I am concerned about- TV speakers disabled and audio directly to the receiver. Glad to hear no sync problem. Contrary to those who feel it's a Samsung processing issue, I am convinced it is a matter of compatibility between the receiver, player and TV. I'll give Samsung another look.

Thx Sears guy.

well I run the fiber optic cable directly from the HDTV DVR to the receiver so sync probs shouldn't be any probs but selling theses tv's at work we have never had those probs as well.
