Is this a "ZE"4000 series? If so look closely at the old drive.. There is a block connector on the end where the pins are showing on the new drive. This just pulls off and pushes on the new one...
I have a 1 year old HP z4800 that had a 30gig drive that died. I just replaced it with a Hitachi 80gig, but it is not detecting it in Bios. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I did'nt see any jumpers on the old drive or new drive. I'm running XP Home and would expect such a new computer to be able to read an 80 gig drive. I did not take the battery out when I put in the new drive.
