Clarification Request
Might the port you're using be eSATA?

Maybe more about your hardware such as the MB brand/model and your OS would help get an answer.

And yes i have windows XP SP3 and motherboard:

When you have more than one device,

and when clicked on the usb icon, a pop up menu will indicate the devices there. All is needed is for you to click on the device that you want to be unplug/off.
