"New" Font size problem in web sites.

Jul 11, 2009 1:42AM PDT

Suddenly all text in web sites begin with a miniscule type sixe. I need to go to View/Zoom to increase the size from 100% to 125% or even to 150% in some cases. Each adjustment than takes up the better part of the 19-inch screen. If I don't remember to reduce the size after reading the website, the adjustments remainwhen I access another site.

Can anyone help. FYI, Comcast has recently implemented an "upgrade,"
but there's no meand to address the issue on its website, and the
telephone personnel are cordial but have no remedies.

Respectfully, Muriel1

What browser are you using?

The issue is not Comcast-related, but rather a browser issue. The solution, though, depends on which one you are using.

Let us know.

Easy fix with Firefox
Jul 11, 2009 2:32AM PDT

This is easy to fix with Firefox and the Default FullZoon Level extension. You can tell it to either scale just the text or the everything on the page and by how much. It even allows for site by site settings.

I honestly don't know how people who use browsers like IE manage. I guess when you don't know what you're missing, it's a lot easier. But after experiencing AdBlock Plus, NoScript, the above mentioned extension, and a couple of others, I don't think I could manage to use any other browser ever again.
