New file sharing company?

Jan 29, 2014 12:42AM PST

Did anyone see the news last week from Panterra Networks on their SmartBox product? Supposed to be file sharing with communication? Has anyone tried it yet? How does it compare to others?

Avoid. Why? Too new.

Would you trust your business on something that just launched?

Wouldn't you trial it and consider what your disaster plan is if they fail?

Interesting perspective

Ha! Applying that perspective, no new company would gain a user base. Wikipedia shows the company has been around since 2001. It looks like they've been doing communication since then but are now entering the file sharing arena with an embedded communication twist to it.

I will trial it but was wondering if others have and had good/bad experience.

There are early adopters for everything.

Let them beat it up but we can use prior launches to see that nothing ever works out of the gate when new. Snapchat for example is new, hot and suffering it's teething pains as they leak user information.

Would you be OK with such breaches?
