New fake codec site -- Windows and Mac -- codecultra

codecultra(dot)net

Pushes both Windows and Mac TrojanDNSChanger. Sample binaries: Mac: codecultra(dot)net/download/codecultra1123.dmg. Windows: codecultra(dot)net/download/codecultra1123.exe. And please ? don?t touch these binaries unless you know what you?re doing, as they are live Trojans.

Removing Codec Ultra from OS X

Take a look at this article from MacWorld.

Remove the Trojan instructions

If you do have the trojan, and there are very, very few instances of this in the wild, remember how you got it and don't think that because you are using a Mac that you are invulnerable.
This Trojan is reasonably benign, just upsets your surfing habits, but even the most secure system in the world is no match for a DA user who gives the virus/malware permission to install itself.

Post back on your progress with the removal.
