New essentials or used business laptop

Sep 6, 2015 1:56AM PDT

I am an IT person . I have budget X and have following 2 choices

1 ) Buy a new Lenevo G50
2 ) Buy a used HP Elitebook

I have checked internet and it seems that both will have same performance . Lenevo will have i3 4th gen but HP will have i5 2nd gen so the results are gona be same.

My plan is to put an SSD drive in place of hardisk and use a hardisk caddy to put a secondary hardisk as SSD will not be enough to store data. use ssd only for operating system and applications . I understand that i will have to remove optical drive.

Note that there will be no warrenty for HP laptop as it will be used, should I go for Lenevo new ? as it has warrenty but lower quality build or I should go for elitebook as it has business class features and made but is without warrenty ?

Are you sure that what you plan to do with the Lenovo won't void the warranty? Better check that first.

Know the risk then make a sound decision

Hello

There is always a risk when you purchase. Its either new or used Happy
Ensure everything so you may not regret from it.

But I suggest to buy a new as long the price will be enough or worth it all.
Check all the specifications Happy

Happy Choosing !
Have a great day Grin
