New error message

Dell 570 computer.
Just started getting this message after defragging the machine, when I click on a Desktop internet shortcut.

"Unable to open this internet shortcut. The protocol "http" does not have a registered program."

Any help appreciated.

Tried that and didn't see http listed, but htm and html were associated with IE.
I had Firefox set as default browser, so reset IE to default, and then links worked ok.
But when I reset Firefox to default, everything still worked fine.
Don't know why that happened, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
