new elite

Ok, i have never owned a xbox, i've played a ton on the original xbox, but my 360 playing has been limited to bestbuy. i did my research and tried to find a newer sn. Mine is 725 with mf date of 6-15 and as far as i can tell i have the new heatsink and definately have dc brushless fans. i have no idea what drive i have, but i would like to know because that sucker sounds like a leaf blower. if the new elites sound quieter than older 360's, then those must have been bloomin jet turbines. i just am wondering if i am just a 360 virgin and this is what is to be expected, or if i should be heading back to sam's club. and if i do need to return it how do i find a quieter drive. please help.

The rumors I have been hearing say that the new heatsinks and thermal tape were not updated will late July.

Well, i can see the new heat sink easily and everywhere i have looked says that june is safe. i know i have hitachi drive. i am just concerned that i have the old one because I can tell that my box was opened resealed and then had a new serial umber put on it.
