I've seen SATA 150's such as http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=sata+150
Let's just say you should stick to IDE drives of the right connections and that faster IDE speeds will work just fine.
Why not geeks.com or newegg.com?
Hi all,
I'm looking for new drive for my laptop. It is six or seven yrs old and uses an Ultra ATA 66/100 drive 2.5 inch by 9.5 mm in size.
I don't see a lot of those for sale. i do see a bunch of ATA 150's. Would those be compatible? I'll be dealing with music and video so I need around 100 gigs and fast enough access time to work well. Don't want to spend a lot of cash either. Am I wrong in thinking I can find something like this for 60 or 70 bucks?
Thanks,
Eric
