Get a 90 NM unit 20 watts lower power consumption than the 130 NM, at the same speeds.

higher speed AMD 64's are 90 NM. Performance is as good or better.

It is interesting that the Intel 90 NM's run just as hot as their 130NM's

tha'ts what i'm running
May 29, 2005 5:41PM PDT

and it seems to be working for me just fine. havent really had to stress the system quite yet. i'm running the exact same board and cpu. the only thing you might consider is only going with pc3200 ram isntead of pc4000. i think that board stock only supports ram up to 400mhz. maybe instaed go with pc3200 the utilize the money elsewhere.

the hard drive might be a bit small but SATA drives are quite easy to install so you should be good thing.

another thing would be to make sure you've got a really good power source unit. is that one you listed one that came with the case or one you bought seperately? if it came with the case it'd probably be a better move to spend the extra $100 or so on a quality PSU and be sure it's not going to fry your components or anything like that. Antec was reccomended to me and i went with i believe it was an SL 450.

maybe too look into getting the x800 pro instead of the x800. that's probably the most optional at least for now but it's soemthing to think about.

definitely be sure you've got a solid PSU first then go from there.
