Certs are usually costly and expire every few years while your degree is forever. The degree wins for value.
My husband and will soon be medically discharged from the army. He wants to start a career in information technology. He knows his way around a computer pretty well and has some experience from the military. We have a family to support bit I want him to purse his dream. Should he get his associates in IT or go ahead and get certifications? What certifications should he start with? I know he will probably have to start at entry level and work his way up. Any advice getting started would be greatly appreciated.
