New Canon XH A1 Footage

Hey, folks! I'm getting a little more comfortable with my XH A1 and would like to share something I recently recorded/edited with it. It's for a scholarship contest.

I have a UV, ND, and circular polarizing filter (these three came in a filter set for my camcorder), but I'm not really sure when to use them. Lately I've just kept the UV on there since it's not tinted, but I guess my main question is, what does the polarizing filter do?

Great video - good message. May I ask - how long have you had your
XH-A1, and what editing software are you using?

propeller, but I doubt it. The problem I have with my airplane footage is that the shutter speed is at 640 or higher due to bright sunlight. The result is that the propeller looks like it is stuttering. The shutter needs to be slower to allow it to blur into the disk that the eye sees.
