New Camcorder, Too New Operating System

by UH60Aviator / January 27, 2008 5:30 AM PST

I recently purchased a JVC Everio GZ-MG555U camcorder and cannot connect it to my mac. I am currently running Mac OS-X version 10.5.1. Unfortunately my computer is not recognizing my camcorder when I connect it with both USB and 6 pin to 4 pin fire wire cables. Is there anything I can do to get these to pieces of technology to be compatible? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

What do I do now?
by UH60Aviator / January 27, 2008 9:27 AM PST

Bob, thanks for the link. I have iMovie '08 version 7.1.1. What exactly do I do now. The mac support site doesn't offer any guidance other than telling me that the camera I just purchased may not be supported through imovie. Great. Am I just out of luck or is there something I can do?

I'm unsure if it gets any better than this! If iMovie is not working with your camcorder it's time to take it up with it's maker.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
