Your common Lithium battery is easy to kill. Just toss it in your checked luggage during winter. I have a battery like that. It was so young too.
Next we have battery life. In about 18 months and depending on many factors the battery is about 1/2 or less the capacity when new. My oldest PalmOne is now 5+ years old and since it lived in the charging cradle it still gives me about 1/2 the runtime when it was new.
Others note battery life in that range.
In closing, some PDAs have setting thresholds for what a full charge is, and when to consider it empty and shut down.

I just got a new battery for my ipaq.
So i just open up my ipaq, put it in and charge the ipaq? Or are tehre special precautions to take so i wont shorten the battery life?
Actually , do i need to change my battery now? I notice my old battery just dies and needs rechargeing after half of the juice is used up. Is that a battery problem on the ipaq's?
