New at Mozilla

Got fed up with IE6......freezing and popups!!!! Now how can I make another site as my homepage in Mozilla? Am also getting popups on here. How do I manage the popups here? It runs much faster. Are there any other tricks to this browser?

In Mozillas browser window you would click on Edit/Preferences for the controls for home page, security, etc.

If you used IE for long, malware could still be on your machine to help the popups show up.

Did you eject the pests with Adaware, Spybot?

I had both of these once before.....but once they run and find stuff, I don't know what to delete and what not to. All the mumble jumble means nothing to me....how do I know what to delete?

For me, I delete all that Spybot and Adaware finds. Some will want to research each item...

If you think you are infected, you have little to lose using the mentioned spyware/adware tools. Make sure you have the latest versions and updates for these and trust them. If you are badly infected, shutdowns/restarts may be required. Make sure Windows Messenger is turned off and not started by default. Be aware of any search helpers that may have loaded on your taskbar, desktop or in your tray. These are notorious. You can customize Mozilla and add trusted sites if you find them not working properly. Personally, I like Firefox but Mozilla is very decent.
