Question

new Asus Certificate Error

I just got hi new Asus computer off of amazon....

trying to set up skype failed, it did not even ask me for a pass word.
trying to get google chrome I get a certificate error:

"There is a problem connecting securely to this website
The security certificate presented by this website is not secure.
Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.
We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website."
AND IT TRYS TO THWART ME EVERY TIME I TRY TO GO TO AMAZON OR YAHOO. I WAS NOT ABLE TO LOG INTO AMAZON.

There are reports that the great firewall blocks such things. Your post is insufficient to nail what it is. For example last month a client installed an antivirus suite and set the protection to maximum.

Nothing internet related worked. But it was well protected!

Now that is known the only trouble could be the machine or the ISP.

If other PCs work on your service, you have a warranty issue. Try a factory reset first.
