natural laws affect us all, if....
Feb 17, 2015 12:56PM PST

...you don't know them, or refuse to respect them. If you jump off a cliff, why blame God if you are then severly injured, or dying? If you jump from an high airplane without adjusting for the natural laws, such as using a parachute, then your chance of survival is almost nil. I know there are a few cases where someone landed in fresh water or mud and survived, but most would die. Same thing when the natural laws that govern morality are ignored, don't blame God or those who warn, when you get the diseases that come from such activity.

Restraint
Feb 17, 2015 8:52PM PST

Just like any parent, God restrains us from sin, those who are His, but if one keeps pushing to be free of that, He lets them go. He doesn't "possess" people.

When he "lets them go" does he put them in quarantine?

1 Corinthians 2:16 (NIV)
for, "Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?"

Psalms 86:15
But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.

Romans 2:4
Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Romans 9:22
What (of it) if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath (speaking of evil people) prepared for destruction?

A good text on following God and receiving his blessings, contrasted with those who turn against Him and go their own ways. If they continue to reject Him, eventually destruction after punishments intended to turn them back.

No mention of quarantine in your post.

why should there be?
Feb 18, 2015 2:33AM PST

I never said that was prescribed by God. What HE prescribed was Death, stoning. Now it's still death, just comes a bit slower to allow that time for repentance. Quarantine is a fleshly solution, to avoid the disease continuance in a population, whether it's Ebola, HIV, or some other incurable disease, like Typhus in the past and Typhoid Mary.

I didn't say that either...I said it was prescribed by you.

THAT's why I said, I think it's above YOUR payscale.

Let God settle his/her affairs IF/WHEN the time comes, not mere mortals down here on planet earth.

Unless you want to be like ISIS.

what else you want to wait
Feb 18, 2015 8:17AM PST

...for Him to settle. Murder, pedophilia, prostitution, abandonment of children, sex slavery, ad nauseum. Your arguments are not just totally bankrupt, but absolutely ridiculous if you'd just take a minute before posting to think and realize that. Keep in mind God gave laws he expected us to not just follow, but to enforce. I'm sure all who think they should have some special "license" as in "licentiousness" to do what they especially want to do, even though it's wrong, but we ALL live here and have a God given right to demand they don't, and to punish those who do.

that something with more aggressive HIV and quicker debilitation and death would come along eventually. God is longsuffering toward repentance, but even His tolerant patience in giving time for that repentance reaches an end.

Vengeance is mine. .....Who said that?.......... Not you.

Murder, pedophilia, prostitution, abandonment of children, sex slavery,

There is a difference between Justice and Vengeance.

I certainly don't want YOU to settle anything....Perhaps IF/WHEN you get 11 other people on a Jury....THEN I might, as long as everyone else on the Jury agrees. Of course the charged party would have had to been charged with breaking a law ( I notice in your list of crimes that you want "justice" for, you didn't list homosexuality) You know the people you want to quarantine.

I don't think he/she wants YOU to settle any of his/her business.

Bill, that's one point I've tried to make
Feb 20, 2015 6:58AM PST

about the difference between man's justice and God's. Only God has a provision for recompense. That's addressed feebly by Victim Restitution bills and such, but who can restore the murder victim to his family? Who can eliminate disease, not just vaccinate against it?
Rev 21:3,4: With that I [John] heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

"natural forces He has set in this world"
Feb 18, 2015 6:58AM PST

Documentation, please? My Bible says that Jehovah doesn't tempt people with evil, that the first humans gave into temptation from Satan, that Jesus bought us freedom from inherited sin and that all will be well according to Jehovah's purpose.
Documentation: James 1:13; Gen 3; Job 33:24; Mt 20:28; Rev 21:3,4.

Question: There may be a genetic factor in homosexual desires, just as it seems there is in some cases of alcoholism. What hope is there for such ones?

The same as for anyone who feels a strong drive to be promiscuous, or will you now support prostitution?!

"Documentation, please? My Bible says that Jehovah doesn't tempt people with evil, "

I don't know to what you refer in what I posted. However, since you did ask and your JW transliterated Bible might be deficient in yet another manner, I submit this passage for your perusal.

2 Chronicles 18:21
"Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD and said, 'I will entice him.' And the LORD said to him, 'How?' "He said, 'I will go and be a deceiving spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' Then He said, 'You are to entice him and prevail also. Go and do so.' "Now therefore, behold, the LORD has put a deceiving spirit in the mouth of these your prophets, for the LORD has proclaimed disaster against you."...

Strong delusion? It would seem so. Praise Jehovah!!! Wink

Interesting. You repeat the question, but
Feb 20, 2015 6:28AM PST

don't attempt to answer it. That answer is, they can "repent and turn around". An alcoholic who forswears drinking is acceptable in God's eyes. So with all the other sins mentioned along with homosexuality at 1 Cor 6:9. "And that is what some of you were." Men will grade sins according to their own opinions, but Jehovah doesn't.
"The same as for anyone who feels a strong drive to be promiscuous, or will you now support prostitution?!" is a logical fallacy, poisoning the well. It should be clear from my posts that I "hate what Jehovah hates and love what Jehovah loves". I don't look for anyone but Jehovah to solve the problems that man brought on himself. Scripture and common sense both show that man can't do it.
