New 1080P tv or?

Jul 29, 2009 1:39AM PDT

Pioneer Elite Pro1120HD Plasma Display not 1080P. High end plasma display.Displays-720p, 768p, 1080i

I have found the above display used for about $2700.00

My question is will it display Blu-ray movies nearly as well as a new 1080P tv?

This is a 720p Plasma.

It will only display at 1280X736. Yes, it is great plasma for it's day!
It will rescale 1080i to 1280X768. I suggest that you also look at the newer HD Plasma sets.

Even though that was a $13,500 television for it's day I think if you went with a current 08' model Panasonic V10 you would get a far better picture quality. I think personally the 1080P difference is huge, I wouldn't even compare the two. Look on eBay, I've found 08' Panasonic V10s 58" brand new for $2900, so shop it around. Hope this helps you out.
