On 29th Dec 2018, my microwave oven burst into flames around 12:00 AM. When i registered my complaint with Samsung customer care. Someone from Samsung visited my house and took some photograph of the microwave. There was no communication from the Samsung to provide any solution. After repeatedly calling the customer care, after 15 days, I was told that they could not replace my microwave as it was burnt due to external fire. I cannot understand how it could be an external fire when everything was off during night and nothing else was damaged apart from microwave. When i searched about such condition in internet, I found that such problem occurred with several Samsung customers around the world. I myself is an Engineer. I am very aware of that magnetron stores a huge power even when it is off. Due to sink design issues, if this stored power cannot be dissipated, it can cause fire. This is what happened with my microwave. Till now, I heard only Samsung smartphone bursting but now I can say Samsung microwave also bursts into flame. Samsung guys will not listen to you and they will state their own reasons so that they don’t have to replace microwave. Now, it’s up to you to decide whether to purchase Samsung products. I have decided not to purchase any on the Samsung product.
