I'm encountering a lot of folk that are using Windows PCs and if the OS gets damaged they often refuse to pay for support. Next you read is that they are upset with the company about the machine not working.
I'm beginning to think that many consumers will be better off on tablets.

I am using dell xps laptop which is premium category laptop in Dell. I had Purchased 3 laptops on same day around 14 month back.
In all my 3 laptops hardisk got crashed just in 6-9 months from purchasing date. As all 3 were in 1st year guarntee so HDD got replaced. Now again after 14 months from date of purchase when my laptop is not in guarntee, its motherboard gone.According to dell they categorise hardisk and motherboard as a golden part.
Then after i visited dell serivice center and they charge 1400rs for only diagonise the problem and 17500 Rs for motherboard replacement + 1year warranty.
Now i just want to know is it the genunie cost?
Laptop cost 50,000+17500(service)=67500 Rs.
Till date i was my 5th laptop from DELL i.e. 2 inspiron and 3 XPS in which all five have serious hardware issue just in 1 year or as soon as your 1 year completed.
I understand that hardware issue is comman and can be happend but why this happend too much in DELL product. I had never seen such pathetic hardware failure in other brands. Also DELL parts are as expensive as your laptop cost.
I also contacted dell toll free tech suport for the same issue and what they told to me is "Who told you to get it repair by DELL? Go and get your motherboard from market because they know it very well that same hardware will not be available in market. They havn't sold you a laptop they have sold you a insurance policy for there employee to get their revenue in form of "pandora Box".
1. Is 17500 rs is a genuine cost for 1year waranty +motherboard replacement. Which will cost me my laptop as 67500 Rs?? why should i not go for for Apple mac then ?
2. Most important why these Dell harware failed too much ?
3. Why companies have started new policy of warranty extend? I am very doubtfull. Companies are charging very heavy amount for warranty extend. As they know people will face harware issues. Its a new business of generating revenues from customers as DELL parts are too expensive.
Also interestingly, when you visit Dell service center they will directly suggest you to replace faulty harware. If you wish to repair it, they"ll tell you, No boss its not possible to repair. Also they will warn you that if you get it repaired by 3rd party then we'll be not giving you warranty extend ever.
That means, customer will get too much freak that he has to pay a good amount to money to DELL only.
I will suggest all the readers not to buy DELL product atleast not the expensive products else you'll dead in maintainces only.
