I saved saved and saved for a flat screen tv, sears was having a sale on 51" HDTV plasma 3-D 1080 bla bla, spent $900.00 on TV. 2 1/2 months later it dies, I call samsung they arrange a "tech" to order parts to come out and fix, tech says be there in two weeks, two weeks later shows up, oh thats not the problem Ill order the other right parts see you in two weeks, 3 days later im mad as hell, call samsung tell them dont care if the tech is waiting for another job in my area to come down get my TV fixed(been almost a month without tv) Direct TV still charging me $90 dollars a month for service I cant watch, tech shows up week later, oh thats not the right part either its the last thing they can replace, call's orders the part, its on back order, I call samsung again say enough is enough I want my money back, They transfer me to "Executive customer Relations"-HAHAHAH ya there gonna hook me up but gotta have a reciept with dealer id number and address, sears in Anchorage has an antiquated computer system and cant print me one with that information on it, two week later I get on the sears web site and email and text Cornilla the information. She says we can only send you $930 dollar refund, I say find send it for cripe sakes!!! I wait a week have my wife call "Executive customer make fun of your wife relations" she asked did you send the refund, they start laughing at her telling her we can just send you YOUR money back, we have to put in a request for YOUR money to be send back to you. ITS BEEN 2 1/2 months paying for direct tv that I cant watch and being with out a TV while the Jackasses as samsung sit on MY MONEY, really dont waste your time buying their products!!!! because they really dont give a damn about making things right with you they only care about making it right for Samsung!!

This whole ordeal is beyond belief, I was really excited about buying samsung products, I even bought a samsung blue ray dvd player so it would match, but after this debacle never again.

Hi bitterrooter89,

I've forwarded your complaint and the transaction number on to the appropriate channel. I realize that saying sorry doesn't fix everything automatically, but I'll reiterate that I really am sorry that you've had such a bad experience.

Flickering and darkness on my Samsung tv
Aug 27, 2012 1:07PM PDT

Trans# 2114238990
We purchased the tv at Walmart around March or April of 2011. We started noticing a strobe light affect inside the tv at a year of owning it. Because the tv was new we didn't think that the tv was the problem. But after changing wiring and the cable box we realized that it was. We contacted Samsung customer service and they told us that they couldn't help us without a receipt nor have they heard of a problem that we had, but we searched the Internet and its pretty common that people have these issues. So can you please contact me on how I can get my tv fixed I will gratefully appreciate it.

I find it humerous that a Samsung rep is quickly avaialble to comment on these posts.
I too will avoid Samsung in the future. Bad capacitors, light tunnel collapse, just to name problems I have, among othe things. Class actions suits don't occur without good reasons.
Plenty of people complain and get no reaction other than, "sorry you're not pleased" you need to pay for our poor quality. Please do yourself a favor and shop carefully - the low costs come from poor quality.

Walmart floor staff pushing Samsung
Oct 8, 2012 11:00PM PDT

My daughter and I were at Walmart on sunday browsing and price comparing the different t.v.'s. The floor supervisior was asking me what I was looking for, and I told him just looking at the actual sizes I want for my living room (46 to 55 in) and our bedrooms (36 to 26 in) or 22, after I stated that I was price comparing he kept trying to get me to look at the samsung models on sale. The last flat screen I had was a polaroid, with a dvd player and it was a good t.v. I purchased it in 2007 and it ran up until some one stole it (insured so it's ok) So, research what your future purchases will be. Sales people are there to sale you anything. Research, research, research. Happy shopping~

low cost!!!!

My top-of-the-line Plasma cost me $2799 in canada....10 months later....first service call !!!!
Never again SAMSUNG. Their technology is very advanced, but the cheap components they use makes them lose their reputation.

Hi there,
I empathize with you a lot. I also saved and saved and saved a whole more for a SAMSUNG Plasma 58c8000 costing me $2799 in Dec. 2010.
Ten months later... problems. Never was able to resolve anything with Samsung. Now I have a beautiful looking 3d
Tv with a bad grey banding problem on black backgrounds and red sparklers on an intermitant basis...on any input along the same band down the centre of the screen. As for the screen cracking you frequently see on this forum...I really believe the Plasma screens are too thin with no fan venting the incredible heat that is generated and the matter is further exacerbated by hanging it on the wall with their very own "close- to- the -wall" wall-mounting kit.
I, too, will never by a samsung product again.....but even buying another brand, you are never sure to get a decent product. I will never ever buy a top of the line tv again from any manufacturer because they are "all" built with inferior components to save money.

I wish I had seen this before I bought a 3000.00 tv !!!!
Mar 14, 2014 3:10AM PDT

I bought there flagship tv for 2013 the f8000 65in and have had problems for three months . There service is really bad!!!!
The TV randomly reboots it still has power because when it happens the light at the bottom of the set stays on the voice or sound gets all funny and the picture gets all pixelly and the screen goes black then the smart hub logo comes back and it goes back to what you were on it happens on more than one input so its not that .
They Samsung after all kinds of BS shut off this, shut off that, firmware updates, then sending a tech out that did not show the first time costing me a days pay and TV off the wall , did not fix it, lost picture optimization more money gone called Samsung back set another apt with a different tech again a no show for the appt.
Rescheduled 4 days later called Samsung they will not replace the TV Got to wait to see if this tech fixes it but yet it's costing me another days pay and the TV has to come off the wall again !!!
I've been a very good customer for them f8000 TV , There best blue ray 3d DVD player , A 1 month old washer and dryer , s4 phone , the wireless keyboard for the TV, The rechargeable shutter glasses . I guess its time to look at other options from now on At this point I don't think they can fix this TV !!!!

Ok a video Ya That's like trying to get a pic of a humming bird in flight are you going to provide me a video camera to do this ? Your basically calling me a liar and to prove my problem even if I could get this on camera I don't think you know what to do to fix it !
This is unacceptable . You have such bad customer service this is crazy . I have told you what it does and by coming to install parts the first time, main board and ribbon cable shows you know there is a problem .
I have contacted our local new station channel 5 there interested in my story and the thousands of others that is having problems with Samsung's poor service . I may not get my TV fixed or replaced but at least I can help others not to get in the same fix I'm in right now.
Shame on you Samsung you have taken a customer that has been super loyal with thousands of dollars invested in your products into a customer that can't stand you. The money and time you have cost me just wanting a TV that works properly, is sad.

SAMSUNG SUCKS!!!
May 2, 2016 6:27PM PDT

Same thing happened to us with our t.v.. We also purchased a washer and dryer set and paid over $2000 and four years later our washer has a bad bearing and therefore trashed!! We should all get together and post all over the internet the poor products that Samsung is putting out. I will be in touch with my son who is an IT person to help me do just that!!! I wish I had only spent $800 on our t.v. but nevertheless, Samsung is a greedy company using cheap materials and putting a hefty price tag on it!!!! DON'T BUY ANYTHING THAT IS LABELED SAMSUNG !!!!!!

Same experience, Done with Samsung products
Apr 20, 2016 10:26AM PDT

I had a very similar experience. Bought a $2500 Plasma which was supposed to be a great quality TV. After 2 years of owning it and what I considered to be normal use, there are two green lines burned into the side of the TV. Good luck getting someone to think you have a nice picture when you have two lines burned into the picture. Samsung claims they don't know why that would happen but its very clear online that 100's of people have been having this issue and get little to no support from Samsung when they reach out. I actually saw the same thing on one of their Tvs at a bar the other night. I've gone back and forth about 20 times with Samsung, they will never put anyone with authority or the ability to make a decision on the phone so you get no where. Which seems like their strategy. They did offer to have me pay some company to fix it. Don't sell me a defective TV and ask me to pay to have it fixed. I know I can pay someone to fix it.

I was a huge Samsung supporter until this happened. I'll be going back to Sony from here on out.

Another Samsung Fail
Apr 29, 2016 9:20PM PDT

Count me among the Samsung-angry crowd. About 16 months ago I bought a new house and outfitted it with all Samsung Smart LEDs, 3 47" and a 75" (I think it's 70) for the living room. (side note: I prefer and recommend having all the same MFG in order to become expert on one ecosystem instead of having to learn multiple ones). I went with Samsung because some believe it is the gold standard for Electronics, so I paid a little more to go Samsung and be as worry free as possible (side note advice: never hesitate to pay a bit extra IF the product outlasts. I've learned It saves money in the end to buy better quality).
Also, let me be fair and not give anyone reading this the wrong impression, the images on the TVs are solid. But I also found out so does the sony 43" I was FORCED to buy to replace my Samsung 47 that died a few weeks ago -- 3 months past the warranty date (perfect timing with the Samsung dying, 3 days before guests were coming to stay for an extended period of time).
My Samsung dying really! really! irritated me as this specific TV is my least used one (the guest room, the rest of the TVs are used constantly). But a few days after it died I got a little bit-ish over it. Even the best can have a failure.
The good news is I dug up the receipt to find I bought it using my Amex card (HELPFUL HINT: if you buy with a CC always buy with one that does warranty extension!!). which means the warranty was extended 1 year. Great, problem solved right?? This is where it has gone really downhill for Samsung. Amex warranty company needs a Samsung authorized repair shop to provide a repair estimate (do your research on the Internet! From my own online research I already am 95% sure it is the power supply). After talking/emailing with Samsung twice I've come to the conclusion Samsung has one authorized repair shop in the entire Tampa area/Florida gulf coast area. And this one repair shop appears to be a Self Storage address or at least it's a company with absolutely no references, no website or anything on the Internet (a generic mention in the white pages without a number even associated with it). After six voice mail messages, SIX!, over nine working days period of time to the "authorized repair shop" (It always goes to VM with a VM that sounds like someone's cellphone VM message) without a single call back (in one voicemail I BEGGED them to call me back knowing my warranty window is limited). I then wrote Samsung again BEGGING! samsung to email or call this "authorized" shop to simply call me or simply arrange a drop off (any time, any day I'll do it) so I can get an estimate of repair. Samsung did not even contact me back. Basically I take it as Samsung saying 'so sad but too bad'.
Bottom line: Approx. $600 for a 47" samsung smart TV that was more expensive than every other model I looked at, it dies with little usage 15 months into its life, Samsung has no "authorized" repair options, and Samsung will not help try to make arrangements for me to get authorized repair (as time continues to run out for the warranty claim to be processed).

I felt I needed to pass on to others thinking "Well I'd buy this cheaper brand TV but this more expensive one is Samsung so I know it's quality across the board".

Try the other contacts too.
