On down the line a question was.... "Which car do you think looks sexy"?
When I stopped laughing I said the only time I had heard anything about a car being sexy was when reclining seats first came into being. Now they all seemed to concentrate on looking like they were going 100 mph while standing still.
For the commercial you noted, I agree that it was meant tongue-in-cheek, but I think it missed the mark in that regard, I don't think it's funny, and I think it went too far and did cross the line.
Besides, pansies has long been another term used for those not considered to be "manly".

Just heard a new Dodge commercial for a 'guy's car that says the competition offers "cute" cars for "pansies" who "love Broadway musicals" and "live with their mothers". (Double quotes intended.) I think it's meant tongue-in-cheek, but it would cross the line for me if I were any kind of gay man or had a friend who was. Stay tuned for public backlash ...
