Odd?

I use Netzero from time to time and never "manully dialed" at all. I can only assume you either got the install wrong, or you're in an area not 100% supported by Netzero. You do have the latest install s/w for Netzero, if not goto netzero.com and get it. De-install past Netzero installation, reboot and start over. Using the latest Netzero install s/w, elect what is the proper areacode and local dial-up for you. Remember, if you're not that local you maybe stuck using some long distance charge, so be sure what you select from the listing they provide. Then further into the install, if your area code has to be entered to make a phone call, edit the lsiting so it can make the 10-digit calling, save that setting and then follow prompts. make sense?

Check...

Check to see if your OS, "telephony setup is 10-digit" ready, areacode shown. This is found under the control panel area. Actually pick-up the phone and see if you hear a recorded message, if it fails at that point or slightly before. -----Willy
