but the way I did it was to get myself a wireless USB stick, (an adapter), and used that on the XP desktop to connect through the router.
Once that was setup for internet connection I was then able to connect the XP system to the home network for file sharing, but to do that I had to make sure that both the XP system and the other computers used the same log on account name and password.

Hi all
I have a home network setup (ADSL modem router connecting 3 PCs) with 2 PCs connected via Ethernet and 1 connected via wireless which is connected to the TV as a Media Center PC (Win7 Home Premium).
The wireless PC has a wireless card but also has a Ethernet port on the motherboard.
I have just setup another old PC (running XP Pro) in the lounge for my son to play with and would like to get the internet on it too.
Is there a way to use the Ethernet port on the wireless PC to connect to the XP PC and share the internet?
Have tried using Crossover cable and switching ICS on but that doesn't work and I have an old 10baseT switch which I tried connecting up but that also doesn't work. I also tried bridging the wireless and LAN connections which allows the 2 PCs to talk but I lose the internet connection on the wireless PC (it says its connected but no internet access)
Is there something I am doing wrong or is there some settings I need to enable?
Any help would be extremely grateful
Thanks Brett
