set the two up w/o the adapter. Run a CAT-5/6 cable from any port of the router to the RJ-45 female connector on the motherboard of the "non-wireless" system. Then set up the Vista system to run off the wireless half of the router.
Computer ONE is hard-wired to the router and Computer TWO is set up wirelessly using on-board wireless adapter. Make sense??
and life goes on...
I'll try my best to explain this. I've got two computers, only one of which is connected to the internet. However, Computer ONE is running on XP and does not have wireless capability; Computer TWO is running on Vista and does have wireless capability. The internet is currently connected to Computer ONE.
ISP is AOL UK, have a Netgear DG834G router, and one Netgear WG111T wireless adapter.
What's the easiest way (if possible at all) to connect both computers to the internet? Idiot's guide preferred, as I'm not the most computer-literate of people.
