Networking trouble with Vista on HP Pavilion

Jan 6, 2008 7:57PM PST

Hi,
I am having Vista Home Premium on HP Pavilion DV2519tu machine with Intel Core2Duo.
Recently, I am facing a trouble with my network connection. I access internet through LAN at my workplace. After a few hours, I just could not connect to network. when I run diagnose, the tool Resets the connection but to no help. It is only after a restart that I am able to connect to the internet.
What can be the solution?

"workplace" = Call the IT staff

They may have network issues and you may be trying to fix it when they are fixing their stuff. Besides they love to hear from Vista owners. Nothing like a fresh challenge.

I have tried with the IT staff here...not much trained with Vista. Only answer they have is 'Restart'.
There must be better answer.

Thanx R. Proffitt.
The thing is that I use my own machine at the workplace, so i don't expect much from IT staff.
Things are a little bit different here.
Bottomline is that I will have to find the cure...and a better cure than irritating restart.

I provided a link to our usual Vista patch and how we set our wifi routers to what we find what works best. Try this please.
