Networking problem with XP

Mar 17, 2004 5:08AM PST

I'm having a strange problem accessing my XP Pro computer on the network. There's 2 computers with XP Pro on them. I'm using a wireless router and connect the 2 together with an Ethernet cable. Both can access the Internet just fine, however, on the one that I've added to it, can't access any of the files on there from the other one. They both are using the same workgroup name and it has a drive shared on there, but when trying to access it, it says it is not accessible. "You might not have permisson to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissons.

Unable to impersonate using a named pipe until data has been read from that pipe."

BTW, I have the exact same users and passwords on both XP computers. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks!

File sharing can be interupted by a active firewall. Try disabling it/them.

All firewalls have been turned off, including the built-in XP one. My D-Link router is the only thing with a firewall on it and enabled at this point.
