2. You created a share AFTER you made accounts on all the machines you need to access.
Hi, I have a home network with my laptop connected wirelessly to my main computer. On my main computer I have Windows XP Home while on my laptop I have Windows Vista Home Premium. I clicked on the network folder on my laptop and can see 3 icons, one with the modem's name (speed stream), one with my laptop's name, and the last is the computer name of the main machine. Is there any way I can set up a connection so we can share files through a public folder. Im guessing it has to do with one of those icons. I click on the main computer's name in that network folder but it gives me an error saying "windows cannot access....computer name.." I can open "my name" and it just has printers...
Anyone know if it is possible to make a sharing folder between Vista laptop and XP main comp.
