In Control Panel there is the Network Connections icon.
Double-click it will open up Network Connection in Windows Explorer.
On the Left you can click the link to Create a new connection.
Rick-click the Local Area Connection 2 | Properties will open up the Local Area Connection 2 Properties which will allow you to edit your IP/DNS settings.
Another way to access the Network connection:
Start | All Propgrams | Accessories | Communications | Network Connections.
For Windows9x and Me, I can go to Control Panel>Network to install or add network components such as Client for Microsoft Networks, Dialup adapter, etc. and also choose the primary log-on. I can go to 'Dialup Networking' to create an Internet Connection and set Network protocols, enter IP/DNS addresses, etc. With Windows XP, things have changed. How do I go about doing what I can do at Win9x and Me ? Thanks.
