needs it's own set of AV/malware protecion. The choice is your's but I prefer the free versions of AVG nad Windows Defender. Paid for I would choose PC-cillin by TrendMicro.
Just finished up our first home network, which was surprisingly painless, though I have a few issues to fix up. But befoire I get things up and running, I have one major question: On how many of the networked PC's do I need anti-virus, and anti-spam ware on?
The main computer we use has Norton AV/Internet security on and I run it daily. I am also using Ad-aware plus for spyware, and I'm getting about 15 tracking cookies a day (arrgh). I admit it doesn't help when we are trying to decide on a new main brouser/email program (IE/Netscape 7.2/Firefox/Opera).
Do I need an anti-virus and spyware program on each PC, or will one copy do? And if you have any suggestions as to what software to use, that would be appreciated too.
Thank you for your thoughts, plus any other links you think might help.
