Microsoft doesn't support OEM versions. They leave support to the OEM. So contact Dell, tell them about the hotfix and where you found information on it, and let them supply it to you or tell you how to get it.
It might be useful to share your information on the hotfix with the forum. Maybe someone knows the problem and solution, or can give an alternate solution.

Hi to all,
When I try to access a folder/file in My Network Places, I get an error message that says Explorer has encountered a problem and must now close.
When I researched it via the no., I found that Microsoft has a hotfix that addresses the problem. The problem is I can't find the hotfix and since my XP Pro came with my Dell, Microsoft has no FREE advice.
Any help woud be greatful.
