Network Printer and Windows 98 problem

Mar 14, 2006 6:03AM PST

I just installed a HP laserjet 1320n via ethernet cable directly to the router of an existing office network. I printed a configuration page with an IP address successfully. I then installed the driver software onto 2 computers running Windows XP with no problems whatsoever. Yet when I tried installing the software onto a different computer running Windows 98SE, it installed with no problems, & prints everything from the test page, to a Word document. But as soon as the computer is shut down for the night or restarted, it cannot find the network connection & will not print anything. HP has tried to help, but no luck. Anybody have any ideas?
