Resolved Question

Network Issue - One or more network protocols are missing

Cannot log into the internet from computer. Lenovo Edge 15 Windows 10.
All other computers in house work fine. In fact ran over to friends house and still same issue

Possible Issue - Updated Adobe Flash Player and a few other random things when going to bed. 3 days later i turned on comp and this issue happened

This is a list of what i have done so far
- Anti Virus is up to date
- Date and time are correct
-Plugged in ethernet cable, Network now shows both ethernet and Wifi SSID but no internet access- so its login in but no internet available; also attempted everything with just ethernet and wifi activated.

-admin CMD - ping 127.0.0.1- 0%loss so its not my network card

-cmd >ifconfig- reads my friends WLAN and my house WLAN correctly

-cmd> nets int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt, everthing checks ok

-cmd> ifconfig /renew; error occurred while renewing interface wifi

-network troubleshooting did not resolve anything too

-restored backup from 1 month ago

Please Help!!

Your Device Manager to see if the Network Adapter is functioning ?

Collapse -
Ah yes

In reply to: Have you looked into

I forgot to mention that it says it is not functioning properly. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I want to upload a good device manager from another comp when I get a chance

This could be a hardware issue

In reply to: Ah yes

Maybe burn a Live Disc and run it so see if you can connect to the internet .

Answer
Connect your PC directly to the router and

In reply to: Network Issue - One or more network protocols are missing

bypass the wireless. If it works you know it's probably the wireless driver. If it's that I would go into the device manager and delete the driver for the wireless card and then search for new hardware and the new driver will be installed.
