network interference

Apr 7, 2015 11:17PM PDT

Samsung UN40D5550 apps were working until yesterday. Now everytime I try to access the internet, it says there is "network interference." It is a 100mb wired connection. The network connection is fine, just no internet.

Samsung has a history of network issues like this. They should know if there are troubles on their end.

They had me change the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and that worked.

How did you get to a place to make the change ( DNS to 888)?

There are 2 places I can do this.

One is in the router which is nice since if you run NAMEBENCH you often find it's faster than your ISP's DNS.

Samsung needs to rethink how their products use DNS. To ask millions to know IP networking is a bit much today. We need more plug and play.

There is a network setup function inside the "menu" on the TV. There is DHCP and manual. I used the manual setting to change the DNS.
