Question

'Network Hacked' msg when installing wifi printer driver

Sep 5, 2017 8:51AM PDT

Installing a driver for a wifi printer.
cannon mb5420 (maxify)
The driver was from the Canon's site per using a Canon support person from the start to help get connected.

Questions:
How to troubleshoot?
Is it a network issue?
Or do I need to troubleshoot the computer?

More detail:
cannon mb5420 (maxify) and the driver that they were trying to install was from Canon's site. The person who was installing it called support to guide her. So it was there recommended site. The support person after trying to install the driver. Told her that it could not be installed after they checked the admin events file and it said that the network was hacked. (1st image link admin events) and the console image with the message(2nd pic) came up. The printer is set up on a wifi network.
1. Admin events

2. Console message from the Admin Events  Warning

I will find that out, but confused is this related to the answer. Or as a part of your signature?

This forum does not have signatures.

So it's the advice I share when I want to run the set of scans I would use. Grif has a nice collection and these are all free. Check out the link and if any item wants payment, let us know where you got it and we'll check it out.

In this forum we have the bot automaticly delete the spam for say canon support .com fake links. I see them all too often as I'm a moderator. It's a shame this is going on.
