Depending on each of the devices on the computer, the network controller may use the motherboard/chipset driver and/or a separate ethernet driver. Before putting XP PRO on the computer, did you check Device Manager and write down all the devices and their driver providers, version number and dates? That gives you a great starting point for finding drivers after-the-fact.
I believe the 752n model has been around a while and originally came with XP installed.. Why not use the drivers that came on the Recovery Discs with that machine?.. If you don't have the discs, maybe HP will still send them to you.
Hope this helps and let us know more.
I have a Hp 752n and i just put windows xp pro. I was missing drivers in my Device manager multimedia audio, grapics, and netwrok controller. I found the two and am looking for a network controller that will work because i cant access the internet! HELP!!
