Aug 3, 2006 2:40AM PDT

When I go to control panel, my Network Connections folder is empty! There is also no "Connect To" icon on the start menu and no connected icon on the taskbar either. The only way i can connect is thru explorer or Outlook Express! and i can only disconnect by closing down. HELP PLEASE!!!

Tried both solutions but did not help
Jul 12, 2013 1:50AM PDT

I tried both.
The executable first with reboot, no good.
Rebooted to safe mode to search for characters given: $%&'()*+ None were found. Rebooted and still no good. Any ideas?

Empty Network Connections
Aug 15, 2013 7:27AM PDT

I have XP and an empty Network Connections page. From what I've read my guess is that a Norton anti-spyware program prob wiped out the "dynamic libraries" whatever they are. It isn't the only wipeouts caused by Norton....(start up, sys restore and who knows what else). Hate hate hate Norton.
