Sounds like a typical block. We know Netflix dropped a brick on this so why not these apps.
For your case you must get to Discord's own support. I see nothing wrong for these companies blocking geolocation.
Alright so. I'm an American who is in Ireland for the next few weeks working. I have a 2011 MacBook Pro with Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.5.
I have no problem browsing the internet. I have used open campus wifi connections, bus wifi, and private work wifi connections and those all allow me to use the internet, spotify, app store, google play store, facebook, etc. no problems at all.
However, if I try to use Discord, play a game on steam with a friend, use battle.net, snapchat call, or even run the basic google speed test (the one you get when just searching speed test), it encounters an error. This happens both on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) and my computer. Earlier, I had access to an ethernet port and was able to do these things with no problem. However, that isn't an option that I usually have.
I assume that there is some kind of problem with apps that I'm using trying to relocate to a new continent. Does anybody have suggestions? I can't find help online for this particular issue.
Thanks!
