Network computer not connecting to internet

Hi, I am having a huge problem with one of my computers at work.

The computer says it has an internet connection but it will not connect to any webpage. Here is what I have done, in no particular order:

1. System restore
2. Cross checked internet settings
3. TCP/IP stack reset
4. Everything Pings out OK
5. Tried in IE and Mozilla, no luck
6. Checked Ethernet cable, not the issue
7. Performed a driver update
Outlook sometimes will not complete send/receive. And the Offline files icon always pops back up even after synchronization.

I have searched online forums for hours with no luck.

If you can help I would appreciate it.

Since it's work.

Reload the OS or look for expired Norton as when Norton and other titles expire they lock out the internet access. Go figure why they did that.

I don't have norton, I have an enterprise version of AVG, But I will try to reload the operating system and see where that get me.

AFAIK

AVG doesn't block the internet when it expires. But I don't use that version so ask AVG since you paid dearly for it.
